Dear SCSMA Members:
Thank you for being a member of the AAMA. Our society counts on your renewed membership on the local, state and national levels. Your dues help the organization promote the CMA (AAMA) credential and protect our profession.
There is no doubt that medical assistants are hardworking health care professionals. I appreciate you, for taking valuable time to check our website and find information at the state level. If you have not already done so, sign up for the SCSMA Newsletter and receive reminders of state meetings and deadlines.
If you are a Member at Large; contact a chapter near you and attend the next meeting. Chapter officers are working to make meetings fun and educational; many offering CEUs at each meeting. Your AAMA membership allows you to obtain a free CEU at chapter meetings.
Chapter members nurture our recent graduates and new CMAs (AAMA) as well as our seasoned members - show each member compassion, strength, integrity and have fun doing it. After a hectic day, our members seek solitude in attending a chapter meeting; knowing they are in the presence of other medical assisting professionals, kindred spirits, someone they can laugh with and understand how you feel. Start developing new friendships; in a few years you will not know why it took you so long to attend a meeting.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or need assistance. I hope to meet many new members at our Fall Workshop on August.
Let’s all help grow a strong SCSMA!!!
Denise Kirby, CMA (AAMA)
