Columbia Chapter of the South Carolina Society of Medical Assistants

The Columbia Chapter of Medical Assistants met via Zoom through October 2024 and in person in November 2024 for education and to complete our community project. We assembled and delivered sixty toiletry bags to Sistercare in Columbia, a significant achievement we can all be proud of.  With the many donations received, a generous contribution was made to Transitions Homeless Center. Our education initiatives have included Mandated Reporter training, Human Trafficking, Addiction and Narcotics, and An Overview of Lifestyle Medicine. Starting Saturday, January 18, 2025, the Columbia Chapter resumed meeting via Zoom on the second Saturday of each month. January’s meeting was a planning session for the year. The Chapter obtained many donations for the 2025 SCSMA Conference.
