President’s Message

Hello Charleston Chapter Members,

What a spooky and cold month we have for October. I am excited about November. It is our ELECTION MONTH.    Please try to come and take an active roll in our elections for the Board of the Charleston Chapter. We will also be voting for Medical Assistant of the Year. WE NEED YOU ALL!!!

The meeting will be November 13, 2008 at Roper St Francis Hospital. It will be fun, so come and see what is done at your Chapter meetings.

I went and spoke to the students in Miller Motte’s Technical College Medical Assisting Program recently. They were very welcoming and excited to see Vice President, Peggy Christopherson and me. We spoke for a few minutes and then answered questions about the importance of being a member of the Chapter. We need to remind ALL Medical Assisting Students that with a simple essay, they can win a $500 Scholarship from our Chapter. SO TAKE THE

CHALLENGE*** and I hope to see you in November.

     Tammy Williams, CMA(AAMA)

Chaplain’s Corner

Mary Ball, CMA (AAMA) is this year’s Chaplain. Please contact her with any members’ names that may need some cheer or our prayers. Her contact info is at the top of the newsletter.

Lynethia Grant’s husband was recently diagnosed with MS. David Knight, with the Continuing Education Department from National just has surgery. Also, our President, Tammy Williams had minor back surgery in October and will be having major surgery on November 11th. Please keep them all in your prayers.

     EDUCATION AND SPEAKERS
